In 2017, Rita, Anne and Bobbie ran for election together because we valued and appreciated the unique talents we each brought to Long Grove. We also value our shared energy and vision for making Long Grove better for the future without losing the culture and character we cherish. Since being elected, we have given countless hours to the Village – broadly and in our various areas of focus. When we disagree, we challenge with respect. That, plus seeking diverse views and transparent communications, helps us always keep the long-term benefit of our village stakeholders – residents, businesses, and property owners – at the top of our priorities.
We’re proud of what we’ve helped the Village accomplish, and look forward to continuing our proven performance into the future.
Responsible Finances – Continue No Property Tax
Diversify our Village revenue sources and acting with discipline to keep expenses in line and grow revenue without imposing a property tax or losing the character of our Village.
Proactive, Timely Communication for All
Use technology in a smart way to enable timely comprehensive communications and real-time conversations among all Village constituents.
Continued Smart Investments in Village-wide Infrastructure
Expand plans for pathways to enhance walkability and connectivity, keep ahead or on track with 15-year public road plans, and creatively seek grants and public-private partnerships to responsibly fund our investments.
Strengthening Economic Development and Cooperation
Working to encourage economic development while respecting our Village heritage, and facilitating open idea generation, conversations, and cooperation across the community.
Continue Enhancing our Cherished Quality of Life
Through our communications, budgeting, policies, and activities, strengthen community engagement, enjoyment, and pride
As a business and property owner in downtown Long Grove, I support Rita O'Connor, Bobbie O'Reilly, and Anne Kritzmire. I appreciate the vision and the work for the pathway completed by Rita O'Connor, Bobbie O'Reilly's support and common sense when considering projects to benefit the village and Anne Kritzmire's attention to detail and analytical eye overseeing village finances.
